Match Duration
| 1 | Match duration is 13 minutes each way. (Or 26 minutes straight through, at discretion of referee). |
Squad
| 2 | We operate a flexible squad system. Teams may use as many players as they wish during the season, however only 9 players may be used on any one match night. Players may only play for ONE team in the league. |
Penalties
| 3a | A PENALTY SHALL BE AWARDED WHEN;

| 3b | The penalty taker is allowed no more than two steps before striking the ball. |
The Goalkeeper/The Area
| 4a | After a goal is scored, the goalkeeper shall roll the ball out to restart play. |
| 4b | The goalkeeper must not leave her area. |
| 4c | If a team makes a change of goalkeeper during the match then the referee must be notified before the change is made. |
| 4d | The referee shall use his discretion to determine whether a player has entered the area accidentally without gaining an advantage. |
| 4e | The goalkeeper may not kick the ball under any circumstances except in the course of making a save. |
Backpasses
| 5 | When an outfield player receives the ball from the goalkeeper, the ball MUST be touched by another player before being passed back to the goalkeeper. |
Substitutes
| 6a | Teams are allowed three substitutes who must stand behind the goal which is occupied by their goalkeeper or in the viewing area. |
| 6b | Substitutions can be made as often as the team wishes. |
The Head-Height Rule
| 7 | For OUTDOOR leagues there is NO head height ruling. |
Free Kicks
| 8a | ALL free kicks are INDIRECT. |
| 8b | Players must be two yards from the ball for free kicks. |
Sin Bin / Dismissal
| 9a | If a player is shown the yellow card then she is sin-binned for two minutes and must wait behind her own goal until the referee instructs her to come back onto the field of play. If the player refuses to leave the pitch immediately then a red card and dismissal will occur. The referee shall be the sole timekeeper in cases of sin-bin. |
| 9b | If a player is dismissed then she should leave the pitch immediately. Failure to do so will result in the referee automatically awarding the match to her opponents. |
Missed Matches
| 10a | If any team fails to show for a match without informing Ladies Leagues staff, the team will be IMMEDIATELY removed from the league. |
| 10b | You CANNOT cancel matches. If any team is unable to make a fixture then a 5-0 defeat will be automatically incurred. We operate a very flexible squad system to ensure teams do not need to cancel matches. |
General Rules
| 11a | The signing of the entry form indemnifies Ladies Leagues from any responsibility for personal injury or lost property whilst participating in the organised leagues. Teams are responsible for arranging their own personal insurance cover. |
| 11b | All players must wear shin pads. |
| 11a | All players must be over the age of 16 years. |
| 11b | The scoring system is 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. |
